Models

Model Categories

The platform offers three primary model categories to suit different needs:

1. Fast Models

Designed for quick execution, these models prioritize speed and efficiency, making them ideal for scenarios where fast results are critical.

2. Explainable Models

Focused on transparency, these models are easy to interpret, enabling users to understand the reasoning behind the model's decisions. For a deeper dive into explainability, check out the TurinTech Insight on Explainability.

3. Advanced Models

These models balance multiple performance factors, optimizing for both complexity and results. For a deeper understanding of model complexity versus speed, read the TurinTech Insight on How Can Complex Models Run Fast? Trade-off between model complexity and running speed.

Model Selection

To select and configure models for your trial:

  1. Create a New Trial.
  2. Navigate to the Models tab to specify the models you’d like to evaluate.
    • The left panel lists all available models. Click on any model name to see a detailed description, including its advantages and disadvantages.
    • By default, evoML selects a set of models for your trial. You can manually toggle model selection by using the selection button.
  3. Adjust hyperparameters. evoML optimizes for general use cases, you can fine-tune model parameters based on your specific domain knowledge. Option to select models with fast, explainable, or advanced as a criterion
