Create Datasources

The EvoML platform allows you to connect to various datasources, including FTP, SQL databases, and cloud storage solutions. This guide will walk you through the steps to create a new datasource.

1. Access the Datasources Section

In the left-hand static pane of the EvoML interface, click on Datasources. This will take you to the datasource management section.

2. Create a New Datasource

Click on the New Datasource button to initiate the creation of a new datasource.

3. Enter Datasource Details

Name: Enter a descriptive name for your datasource. This name will help you identify the datasource later. Group: Select the appropriate group for your datasource from the dropdown menu. This helps in organizing your datasources.

4. Choose the Type of Datasource

You can connect to different types of datasources. Select the appropriate type based on your needs:

A. Database

  • Select Database: Choose the type of database you want to connect to.
  • Select Connections: From the available connections, select the one you wish to use. Database

B. Cloud Storage

  • Select Storage Type: Choose the type of cloud storage you want to connect to (e.g., AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage).
  • Enter Connection Details: Fill in the required connection details, such as access keys, bucket names, and any other necessary information. Cloud Storage

C. FTP

  • Select Type: Choose the type of FTP connection you want to establish (e.g., FTP, SFTP). FTP

5. Save the Datasource

After entering all the necessary details and selecting the appropriate options, click on the Save button to create your datasource.

6. Verify the Connection

Once the datasource is created, it is advisable to verify the connection to ensure that it is set up correctly. You can do this by testing the connection from the datasource management section.
